Office of New Student Orientation Programs

Welcome to the Rocket Family! We look forward to seeing you at Rocket Transition, which is a half-day, required orientation program for transfer students, adult students over 20, and/or student veterans. Students must participate in all orientation activities in order to meet with their academic advisor and register for classes.

During Rocket Transition, you will:

  • Learn about UT resources available to support your success, both inside and outside the classroom.
  • Attend advising and class registration sessions with your academic college.
  • Complete University business, such as consulting with experts in financial aid.
  • Meet faculty, staff and other members of the UT community.
  • Meet other incoming UT students.

You also have the option to complete your orientation requirement online instead of coming to a campus session. Once you complete online orientation, you can make an appointment with your academic advisor.

Please inform the Office of Undergraduate Admission at 419.530.8888 or 800.5TOLEDO if you want to change your major BEFORE registering for an orientation date. Your orientation program date and required placement tests may change based on the new major you select.
