Kids Night Out

Kids Night Out gives parents and guardians a night out while their kids enjoy an evening of supervised activities at the Student Recreation Center! Participants will spend the evening creating, playing, swimming, and having fun with our Recreational Services staff.

Ages: 5–12 years old (40 Spots Only)
Cost: $60 per participant

Activities

Participants can look forward to:
  • Board & Brush craft
  • Swimming
  • Games and recreational activities
  • Pizza dinner (two slices per participant)

Drop-Off & Pick-Up

Drop-off is available from 4:30–5 p.m. Drop-off will take place inside the Student Recreation Center, outside the turnstiles near the front desk. Families who have participated in Kids Camp will recognize this as our indoor/rainy-day camp drop-off location.

Additional pick-up instructions will be communicated to registered families prior to the event.

What to Bring

Please send your child with a backpack containing:
  • Labeled refillable water bottle
  • Cold/ready-to-eat snacks, if desired
    • Please do not send snacks containing nuts, peanuts, peanut butter, or shellfish
    • Snacks should not require heating or preparation
  • Swimwear appropriate for the pool
  • Swim towel
  • Goggles and swim cap, if desired
  • Sandals or flip-flops for the locker room
  • Light jacket or sweatshirt in case activity spaces are cold
  • Comfortable, athletic clothing
  • Closed-toe athletic shoes
  • Any other necessary personal items
Please leave electronics, toys, valuables, and other unnecessary personal belongings at home. The University of Toledo and UToledo Recreational Services are not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged personal belongings.
 

Medication

If a participant will need medication during Kids Night Out, the required medication/medical documentation must be completed and submitted in accordance with our youth program procedures.

When possible and medically appropriate, families are encouraged to schedule routine medications before drop-off or after pick-up to minimize the need for medication administration during the program.

Stay Connected Through ClassDojo

Parents and guardians are encouraged to join our Kids Night Out ClassDojo for quick communication before, during, and after the event. We will use ClassDojo for reminders, what-to-bring information, drop-off and pick-up updates, and other important event communication.
