The primary function of this position is for the overall leadership, supervision, management, and vision of the Department. Working in partnership with the university to help provide engaging, student-centered, recreational services and health promotions to enhance the well-being of the University of Toledo Community. In addition, provides leadership and direction in all programming areas of the department, which includes Aquatics, Operations, Camps, Challenge, Competitive Sports, Wellness, Fitness, and Special Events, with specific duties in the area of Club Sports and direction of the department’s student employee training and development area.

The primary function of this position is to provide coordination, planning, and supervision of all Aquatics Operations, Programs, and Safety Education of the department, which includes CPR/First Aid Courses, Lifeguard Instructor Courses, Lifeguard Courses and training for department personnel. The Challenge area includes, Climbwall, Slackline, High Ropes, Log Rolling and Team Building.

The primary function of this position is to provide coordination, planning and supervision for all Intramural Sports programming, co-coordinate the planning, management, hiring, supervision and execution of youth camps, specifically the UToledo REC Kids Camp and Toledo Youth Sports Camp. Also, to provide leadership and direction for The University of Toledo Varsity Esports program.

This assistantship works in conjunction with the Coordinator, Events & Facility Operations to plan & produce quality events. This position is involved in the day-to-day operation of the Student Recreation Center and the Health Education Center (HEC) including managing the student staff and support of all recreational special events within the facilities.

Madeline Button, M.S. — Certified Athletic Trainer
The primary function of this position is to provide injury prevention and care to all Rec Center members, including emergency care, first-aid, injury evaluation, therapeutic interventions, concussion management, taping and wrapping. Maddy provides on-field coverage for all club sports team home competitions.

Abby Coulson, M.B.A. — Certified Athletic Trainer
The primary function of this position is to provide injury prevention and care to all Rec Center members, including emergency care, first-aid, injury evaluation, therapeutic interventions, concussion management, taping and wrapping. Abby provides coverage for Rocket Marching Band and ROTC.
