Susan P. Modarai is an Senior Lecturer for University College. She teaches the capstone course, field experiences internship course, seminars in the Liberal Studies program, and an introduction to research course, all in the distance learning format. Susan began working in higher education in 1998 at Owens Community College and began working at The University of Toledo in 1999 as a Visiting Assistant Professor. In 2008, she was hired as a Lecturer for University College in the Interdisciplinary and Special Programs Department. Susan was the recipient of the John H. Russel Scholarship in 2004, 2005, and 2006, and of the Robert and Wrey Barber Scholarship in 2005. Susan is a first-generation college student and the mother of four children all with higher education degrees. Her favorite activities are spending time with her grandchildren, traveling globally, creating photo book albums, spending time with family, and reading.
