John B. and Lillian E. Neff College of Business and Innovation

The Leslie Robbins Jerome Advanced Leadership Academy (ALA) at The University of Toledo’s Neff College of Business and Innovation is a selective leadership development program that brings together high-achieving graduate students from a range of disciplines, including students from Monroe College to help them better understand their leadership style, expand their professional presence, and develop the skills needed to lead teams and organizations in their chosen fields.

Throughout the semester, participants engage in a series of leadership development sessions focused on communication, self-awareness, teamwork, ethical decision-making and leading in complex, cross-disciplinary environments. The program emphasizes personal growth and applied leadership practice rather than traditional coursework.

Students who attend six of the seven sessions, including the graduation dinner, earn The Jerome ALA Certificate of Advanced Leadership Development and The Jerome Advanced Leadership Academy Medallion, which may be worn at graduation as a symbol of program completion and distinction.
