Student Opportunities
The John B. and Lillian E. Neff College of Business and Innovation gives students more than a place to study business — it gives them a place to lead, connect and launch their futures. Through student organizations, innovation experiences, pitch competitions, networking events and professional development opportunities, students build relationships with peers, alumni, employers and community leaders while gaining practical skills that strengthen classroom learning. Whether students are interested in marketing, finance, accounting, sales, human resources, information technology, entrepreneurship or leadership, there is a student organization or experience designed to help them get involved, grow their confidence and prepare for career success. Every business student is encouraged to join at least one professionally focused organization and take advantage of the many ways the Neff College connects talent with opportunity.
Juice House
Juice House blends community with campus — building friendships, planning campuswide activities and connecting regionwide companies, organizations and community members to campus. In Toledo, that means making the University of Toledo a more relevant and instrumental force in Northwest Ohio.
Rocket Hacks
RocketHacks is a 24-hour hackathon dedicated to fostering innovation and problem-solving among students from the Midwest and beyond. This event brings together talented students to build real solutions to real-world challenges. With an emphasis on collaboration, creativity, and technical skills, RocketHacks empowers students to turn their ideas into impactful projects.
Tech419 Pitch Competition
Tech419 exceeds the standards of a traditional pitch competition. It is a high-energy public pitch event where finalists present their ventures to a panel of judges and a live audience of investors, community leaders, and supporters. Top presenters compete for more than $20,000 in funding and prizes, but all finalists gain something more valuable—visibility, credibility, and meaningful connections that support long-term growth.
Office of Student Engagement and Connections
