Supporting Inclusion in Early Childhood Settings: A Professional Development Opportunity
Mott Community College in partnership with The Great Start for Higher Education (GSHE) project invites educators who work in community-based early childhood programs to participate in a virtual professional development opportunity. This series will help improve the quality of early childhood inclusion for young children with disabilities/special needs who are enrolled in ECE programs that partner with Mott Community College.
Participants with the support and guidance from GSHE staff will:
1) Participate in a series of 3 webinars from 4:30-5:30pm on the following Tuesdays:
June 8, June 29th and July 13th. In addition, participants will be engaged in discussion
boards that provide opportunities for discussion and dialogue.
2) Work towards enhancing the degree to which their classrooms promote high-quality
inclusion for young children with disabilities and their families using the ECE Environments
Indicators Rating scale. Participants will conduct a pre-assessment and develop an
enhancement plan based on assessment results.
