To protect the university community and your personal data from phishing crimes and identity theft, there are select UT applications (Office 365, Teams, OneDrive, and Email) that require multifactor authentication through the Microsoft Authenticator application.

For the best user experience, we recommend downloading the Microstof Authenticator application to your mobile device.

The Authenticator Application can be downloaded through the Google Play Store or the Apple App Store to any mobile device.

The Microsoft Authenticator application helps users sign into their accounts by using a two-step verification process. While passwords can be forgotten, stolen, or compromised, two-step verification provides users an additional layer of security when accessing their account.

Visit the Microsoft Authentication Instructions page to set up the Microsoft Application.
