Prepare for Health Professions at The University of Toledo

Interested in a health profession like medicine, dentistry, physical therapy, physician assistant, occupational therapy or veterinary medicine? Great choice! Upon completion of your undergraduate degree, you’ll need to continue your education at a professional school.

The University of Toledo has pre-professional career tracks to prepare you for your professional programs of interest. Whether you eventually want to be a doctor, dentist, physical therapist, occupational therapist or veterinarian, UToledo has a pre-health track for you. During the application process you’ll choose a pre-health track to complete alongside your chosen major.

As with all pre-professional career tracks at UToledo, pre-health tracks are not majors. Pre-health tracks may include special course requirements in addition to those required by your major. UToledo’s pre-health tracks include:

  • Pre-medicine
  • Pre-dental
  • Pre-physician assistant
  • Pre-physical therapy
  • Pre-occupational therapy
  • Pre-veterinary medicine
