What is the Rocket Welcome Crew?
A UToledo student, faculty or staff member who volunteers as a Rocket Welcome Crew member at The University of Toledo to greet incoming campus residents, help unload their cars, assist them as they move into their residence hall, answer questions, and provide a helping hand.
Rocket Welcome Crew volunteer shifts will be between 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 22 and Friday, Aug. 23.
Why should YOU be part of the Rocket Welcome Crew?
As a volunteer, you can really make a difference to students and their families. Students and their guests continually express how appreciative they are to have the UToledo family greet and assist them as they arrive on campus. It provides you the opportunity to meet new and returning students, talk to parents, and experience campus life outside of the office and classroom. This opportunity is also a great way to be part of the excitement on campus before classes start!
Rocket Welcome Crew (RWC) expectations:
-
Greet and talk with new residents and their guests about life on campus and the UToledo experience.
-
Assist with moving boxes and other items from vehicles into the residence halls.
- Arrive for your shift 30 minutes early to receive instructions and your volunteer t-shirt.
- Have fun and create a positive experience for our UToledo Rockets!
