Philosophy and Religious Studies at the University of Toledo

Specialized Programs

You might be surprised to find that one can prepare for law school, medical school, or a career in science while also taking a major in philosophy. In fact, philosophy students typically score very well on standardized tests that qualify them for admission not only to graduate school, but to professional school in law or medicine. The LSAT, for example, consists almost entirely of logic problems, and our logic and critical thinking courses are the only place on campus where you'll be able to study closely the kinds of arguments, their pitfalls, their uses and abuses that is required knowledge for the LSAT. Students planning professional careers in medicine, law, or science can tailor undergraduate major and minor programs in philosophy by taking the following courses in addition to the core requirements.
