Virtual Immersive Reality Center
The Virtual Immersive Reality (VIR) at the IISC is comprised of one of the widest array of VIR technologies in Ohio. Virtual immersive environments, stereoscopic/3D simulations, radiological visualization, medical illustration and large scale touch technologies to offer unprecedented opportunities for learning, teaching and research.
Using 3D, VR and medical visualization as part of your training methodology, allows your learners to experience an innovative and engaging type of training. This type of information delivery rejuvenates traditional computer based content and rekindles the enthusiasm to learn.

Our content has generated interest from businesses, education and research sectors. Our unique combination of access to content, hardware, software, and expertise, provides us with the opportunity to create dynamic content and a unique experience that promotes awareness and product design.

All of the IISC’s VIR technologies are available for use by all UToledo staff and current students for university sanctioned class instruction and study. These spaces are also available for external, non-university affiliated groups for a rental and staffing fee.
