About International Student Welcome Week
International Student Welcome Week is a one-week program that aims to provide new international students an opportunity to get familiar with the UToledo campus and university resources. The programs combine helpful workshops, presentations and activities on academic support, housing, residence life, campus jobs, campus tour, insurance and classroom expectations for international students. Students will have a chance to meet with university faculty and staff, connect with U.S. students, and make lots of new friends!

Stop by the international office for your in-person check in and learn about the events and programs throughout the welcome week! Please bring your passport and I-20.

Meet & Greet with CISP and International Admissions (Mandatory)
Meet the CISP team and the International Admissions team, as well as the International Student Association (ISA). You will be able to learn about the CISP resources that will be very beneficial for you during your academic years, and the best part is that we will provide FREE lunch to all our new international students during the Meet & Greet!

UToledo Athletics Experience
Tour the Savage Arena and see where our Rockets compete against rival universities. This tour will include a backstage walkthrough.

REC Center Tour
Tour the REC Center and see all the structure that UToledo offers for the students: indoor tennis courts, badminton, basketball, a complete modern fitness gym, an indoor track field, pools, rock climbing wall, among other cool stuff!

University of Toledo Police Department (UTPD) Tour
Meet the University of Toledo police officers and tour the University of Toledo Police Department, including the campus surveillance room, police cars, police gear, and so much more cool stuff.

Join CISP for a day of fun competitions. Team up with a friend and compete for the chance of wining cool prizes!

Ice Cream Social
Come and enjoy delicious ice cream while making new friends! In this event CISP will bring together our new international students and our current international students.

Donuts with the Dean
Kick off the semester with free donuts, games, giveaways, and great company! Meet the Dean of Students, connect with fellow Rockets, and enjoy a fun-filled event designed to help you start the year strong. Whether you're making new friends or catching up with old ones, this is the perfect way to celebrate the start of your first semester as a Rocket!

Class of 2030 Lunch
Start your college journey with great food, new friends, and good vibes! Join us for the Class of 2030 Lunch, an informal and fun gathering designed just for first-year students. We will have music spinning by WXUT, yard games, and other activities.

Rocky's Welcome
New students will be welcomed and introduced into the Rocket Family by key faculty, staff, and student leaders. Rocky's Welcome is the kick-off event for Rocket Welcome Weekend and helps to establish a sense of connection and pride in our newest Rockets. Join us as you start your year off right. (Required for all new first year students)

New students receive their Class of 2030 t-shirt and take their class photo inside the Glass Bowl Stadium. (Required for all new first year students)

Walmart/Target Trip
We understand that the transition to college and this new chapter in your life can sometimes be stressful and at times you might forget a thing or two. We are excited to offer shuttle services to Walmart/Target during Rocket Welcome Weekend.
Shuttles will run continuously between campus and both locations. The first shuttles will depart from campus at 10 a.m. and will run until 2 p.m. Each shuttle will have a dedicated UToledo staff member riding along.
Students must RSVP in advance to ensure we have enough transportation to accommodate the interest level.

Flicks on the Field (Moive Night)
Continue the celebration as we count down to the start of the school year with Flicks on the Field. We will be showing a new movie on the Glass Bowl stadium field.
Grab your friends, a blanket, and some of your favorite move theater treats. We will have the popcorn and drinks!
