How to Apply
The University of Toledo Geriatric Medicine Fellowship Program is a one- year clinical training program for physicians, who are board certified or board eligible from (ACGME) Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education. Approved eligibility requirements include: successful completion of Internal Medicine or Family Medicine residency. Candidates are interviewed, ranked, and matched through the National Residency Match Program.
Two fellows are accepted annually, and are expected to start July 1. However, accommodations for off-cycle trainees will be considered. Only electronic application applications are accepted via Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS).

Applicants should submit the following documentation online through ERAS:
- Completed on-line application form
- Current CV
- Dean’s letter
- Three recent letters of reference (including two from a U.S. physician)
- Transcripts from medical school
- Personal statement
- Valid Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG) certificate (if applicable)
- United States Medical Licensing Examination (USMLE) scores – Step 1, Step 2, and Step 3
