2025 White Coat Ceremony
The White Coat Ceremony, held during the week of orientation, welcomed first-year medical studentsmedical students to the College. Highlights of the event include a welcome by the Dean of the College of Medicine and Life Sciences, a keynote address on humanism in medicine, and presentation of white coats and recitation of the Medical Student Pledge of Ethics

2026 Graduate Research Annual Forum (GRAF)
The University of Toledo’s Council of Biomedical Graduate Students held its annual Graduate Research Annual Forum on Health Science Campus Thursday, March 19 & Friday, March 20.
This celebration of our biomedical graduate scholars and their scientific discoveries featured poster presentations, oral talks, and a keynote address. This two-day event provided engaging scientific discussions and valuable opportunities for collaboration, networking, and shared learning across our graduate community.
The Keynote Speaker was Dr. Jiaoti Huang, Johnston-West Distinguished Professor of Pathology at Duke University School of Medicine. Dr. Huang is a physician-scientist with clinical expertise in the pathologic diagnosis of genitourinary tumors of the prostate, bladder, kidney and testis. His lab focuses on molecular mechanisms of carcinogenesis and tumor progression as well as novel therapeutic strategies. In addition to patient care and research, Dr. huang is passionate about education and has trained many residents, fellows, grad students and post-docs.
