Research interests:  Dr. Matsushima is studying molecular mechanisms regulating the function of dendritic cells, which play crucial roles in the induction of both innate and adaptive immunity.

Education:  Dr. Matsushima earned his Ph.D. in Medical Science in the Division of Human Ecology of Yamanashi Medical University, Yamanashi, Japan.
