Epilepsy
The Epilepsy Clinic offers comprehensive evaluation by Board Certified Epileptologists for patients with seizures. Medical as well as surgical treatments are available for patients. Comprehensive management is facilitated by easy access to the Neurophysiology lab and MRI imaging facilities within the Neurosciences building. An interdisciplinary Epilepsy Surgery Clinic is staffed by faculty to provide additional treatment options for patients with intractable epilepsy. Patients interested in research opportunities may also inquire about innovative and new treatment options.

Vestibular/Dizziness
Patients with dizziness, vertigo, or disequilibrium can undergo comprehensive evaluations by our two vestibular neurologists for diagnosing and managing the underlying disorders that may present with those symptoms.

Sleep
Multidisciplinary sleep clinic is staffed by a board-certified neurologist with expertise in sleep medicine. Services are available for diagnosis and management of conditions including, but not limited to, sleep apnea, insomnia, restless leg syndrome, and excessive daytime sleepiness. The services are further strengthened by easy availability of facilities for performing sleep studies at various ProMedica sleep labs.
Neuroimmunology & Multiple Sclerosis
Immune-mediated neurological conditions including multiple sclerosis are diagnosed and managed by neurologists with additional expertise in this area. Onsite services include:
- An infusion center for outpatient administration of intravenous treatments for neurological disorders
- Physical, occupational, and speech therapy
- Electrodiagnostic studies
- MRI suite
Clinical trials are available for appropriate candidates.
Headache
Headache clinics are staffed by Board Certified Neurologist and Advanced Practice Providers with expertise in management of all types of headaches including those with complex and refractory headache disorders.

Movement disorder clinics offer comprehensive care of patients with tremors, Parkinson, Huntington, or other related neurological disorders. In addition to subspecialty clinics offered, we have a wide array of general neurology services for individuals who seek neurological care and do not have a specific diagnosis. All of our neurologists are Board Certified by the American board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN) and are listed in American Board of Medical Specialties database.
ALS Clinic
Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) is a complex condition that affects a person’s life in a multitude of ways. Also known as Lou Gehrig’s disease, ALS is a progressive neurodegenerative condition.
Our new ALS clinic makes it easier for ALS patients to get care from their various specialists. ALS patients throughout northwest Ohio and southeast Michigan will be able to see all their key health care providers in a single afternoon at the University of Toledo/ProMedica Neurosciences Center.
The ALS multidisciplinary team includes the following experts:
- Physical therapist.
- Occupational therapist.
- Respiratory therapist.
- Speech-language pathologist.
- Dietitian.
- Pulmonologist.
- Board-certified neuromuscular neurologist.
Through the ALS clinic, patients and their families will have access to high-quality specialty care, right here in our region.
