Preparation
Access to Launchpad/Teams is for registered attendees, key partner contacts, and students that completed their engagement survey by the deadline. You will receive an email from Microsoft Teams that you have been granted access to the team (ie: Launchpad). The following channel is helpful.
- Role Play and Coaching Preparation - preparation information geared for corporate partners and Comprehensive Assignment Schedule. Prep document includes an overview of the event flow and information on the social scenes and plot twists. Comprehensive Assignment Schedule has tabs for Travel Student Groups, Pilot Summary, and Social Scene Summary so you know what role you have, where to go, and which students you are working with.
Social scene possibilities include: networking reception at a conference, dinner with a customer executive, golf outing, holiday office party, client appreciation event at a sports game, trade show happy hour, business flight, company lunch-n-learn, and volunteer event with co-workers and/or customers.
Plot twists can be etiquette or ethical based. Possibilities include alcohol consumption, tripping, dealing with a loud talker, receiving confidential information, etc. Plot twists are not shared in advance with the students so they can think on their feet.
Students and corporate partners get the assignment schedules (individual for students and comprehensive for corporate partners) in Launchpad 1-2 weeks in advance so they can prepare.
When to Arrive and How to Dress
Dress as you would for work. It is important for the students to see this part of your corporate culture.
Directions and Parking
Main campus map and driving directions
Register your license plate before you arrive using the event specific parking registration link that was emailed in advance. Once your permit has been entered, you may park in the approved lots (1N, 1S, and 10). License plates that are not registered or don't have their license plate visible to the drive aisle so it can be scanned by parking patrol as well as parking in unapproved lots will be ticketed; appeals are unlikely to be approved. How to Update Your Organization/Company Profile
All the companies that attend the Social Flight School will have an organization/company profile that students can access to do background research. Details on how to edit your profile in the Member Center are sent in your registration notice.
