2024 UTEACH JOB FAIR
SAVE THE DATE: Wednesday, March 20, 2024, Student Union Auditorium
The University of Toledo Judith Herb College of Education and Career Services would like to invite you to participate in our 2024 UTeach Virtual Job Fair. Employers from various schools, agencies, and organizations that are looking to hire graduating education students will be in attendance.
Education graduates are REQUIRED to attend the fair in place of your student teaching.
Before the UTeach Job Fair
How to Prepare For the 2024 UTeach Job Fair
- Create or update your resume and submit it for review to the dropbox for the UTeach Resume Book for employers.
- Review participating schools and districts and determine which schools you would like to interview with.
- Research prospective schools so that you are well informed about the school and district.
- Practice Sample Interview Questions to feel prepared and confident before the fair.
- Prepare your interview attire. If needed, schedule an appointment with the Rocket Style Career Closet or attend the JCPenney Rocket Suit Up event.
UTeach Resume Book
UToledo Career Services and the Judith Herb College of Education want to give our graduating seniors a chance to connect with potential employers beyond the UTeach (Education) Job Fair on March 20th. We offer graduating education students the opportunity to submit their resumes to be included in the UTeach Resume Book.
To be included in the Resume Book for employers, students must follow Career Services guidelines and have their resume approved by Career Services. To have your resume reviewed by Career Services upload your document to our Resume Dropbox on our website. A Career Services team member will review your resume and provide feedback.
Timeline for submitting to the Drop Box
Now - February 16, 2024
Work on polishing your resume and submit first draft to the Resume Drop Box
February 16 - March 3, 2024
Make changes, as directed, and resubmit resume if needed.Submit Your Resume For Review To The Drop Box Here
Once the final resume is approved, upload it to the Handshake job posting
March 4th at 11:59 PM | Deadline to upload to Handshake Job
After your resume has been reviewed by Career Services, upload your final resume (PDF) to the Handshake Job Posting
Resumes will be compiled into a UTeach Resume Book and will be distributed to employers prior to the UTeach Job Fair. If you do not want your resume sent to attending employers, email Alyssa Norden at Alyssa.Norden@utoledo.edu.
