About the Physical Therapy Profession
Physical therapists are experts in the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of movement dysfunction. This involves the clinical assessment and treatment of a wide variety of impairments arising from conditions ranging from stroke, Parkinson’s disease, developmental disability, arthritis and amputation, to spinal cord, brain, and musculoskeletal injury.
Physical Therapy is an exciting and dynamic profession that serves people of all ages. Physical Therapists, as integral members of the healthcare team, engage in a rewarding profession that can positively influence the quality of life of both the patient and therapist.
