Deadline for Applications
Completed applications must be received in ERAS no later than November 1st of the current year.
In-House Call / Night Float
PGY-2 and PGY-3 residents each do two one-half months of night float. Night float is from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. Sunday thru Thursday. On Friday morning, the night float resident will have their continuity clinic from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. All residents are assigned to weekend call: Friday 5:30 p.m. to Saturday 7 a.m.; Saturday 7 a.m. to Sunday 7 a.m.; and Sunday 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Meal tickets that can be redeemed in the hospital cafeteria are provided to residents when they are assigned to call on Friday night or Saturday.
Protected Time
Wednesday afternoons from 12 to 5 p.m. is protected time. Didactics are held from 12:30 to 3 p.m. From 3 to 5 p.m., the residents can be scheduled for video reviews, evaluations, procedures, Journal Club, or have time to work on their scholarly activity/QI projects.
