Congratulations to Caitlin Baum of the Stepkowski Lab who successfully defended her Doctor of Philosophy dissertation titled, "The Role of Interleukin-21 in the Chronic Rejection of Transplant Allografts and the Development of Type 1 Diabetes".
Mentor: Stanislaw Stepkowski, DVM, Ph.D., D.Sc.
Caitlin is currently working on her M.D. with the University of Toledo.

Congratulations Adaeze Izuogu!
Adaeze of the Taylor Lab who successfully defended her Doctor of Philosophy dissertation, "Restriction of Tick-Borne Flaviviruses in the White-Footed Mouse".
Mentor: R. Travis Taylor, Ph.D.
Adaeze accepted a position as a postdoc at the Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh under the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. She will be working in Dr. Terence Dermody's lab. She will continue in the field of vector-borne viral pathogens- specifically Alphaviruses (CHIKV).

Congratulations to Afnan Malebari of the Stepkowski Lab who successfully defended her Masters of Science dissertation titled, "Improving a method for High- Resolution HLA Typing in Transplantation."

Afnan returned to Saudi Arabia.
