Research Interests

Integrating intelligence in Engineering Applications based on Fuzzy Logic, Neural Networks, Evolutionary Systems, Swarm Intelligence, Hybrid Systems such as Neuro Fuzzy Systems, Neuro-Evolutionary Systems, Fuzzy-Evolutionary Systems, Neuro-Swam Systems, Intelligent Embedded Systems, Nature Inspired Machine Learning for developing engineering applications, Parallel and distributed Computer Architecture,

Biography

Devinder Kaur received her Ph.D. degree in Computer Engineering from Wayne State University, Detroit, USA in 1989. She was a recipient of the Thomas Rumble Fellowship while pursuing her Ph.D. She did an MS in Computer Engineering from Wayne State University in 1985. She was awarded a commonwealth scholarship to do M.Sc in Medical Physics at the University of Aberdeen, Scotland, UK. She was a recipient of the Fulbright Senior Specialist award in 2003 and visited Nippon Institute of Technology and Tokyo Denki University in Japan. She is a senior member of IEEE. She is a reviewer for IEEE, WSEAS and other international journals and conferences. She is a reviewer of NSF and served on multiple NSF panels. Dr. Kaur’s research was funded by University of Toledo, Daimler Chrysler, AFOSOR, NSF and AFRL.
