Apply to Levis Leadership
Each year, up to 40 incoming freshmen, out of hundreds of applicants, are selected for this experiential scholarship program and have the opportunity to participate for up to four years of leadership development. During their first year, Levis Leadership students participate in an exciting and interactive College Student Leadership Development class each semester. The Levis Leadership program helps students learn and develop the skills and knowledge that contribute to effective leadership. The purpose of the program is to provide the selected group of students with leadership education and training which provides limitless possibilities for growth and development.
QUALIFICATIONS FOR ELIGIBILITY:
To be eligible for the Levis Leadership program, applicants must have the following:
- Minimum 3.0 cumulative high school GPA (Must maintain a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA each semester to retain the scholarship)
- Minimum 20 ACT composite or 1020 SAT combined reading and math score
- Demonstrated potential for leadership exhibited through high school honors, activities, community service, etc. (Must maintain collegiate involvement in at least two student organizations to retain the scholarship and remain in the program)
SELECTION PROCESS / APPLICATION:
- Entering first-year students apply for the Levis Leadership program and scholarship during their senior year of high school via the online form by the application deadline.
- Levis Leadership Scholarship Committee will select up to 40 students for the program each year.
- All applicants will be contacted to let them know whether they were or were not selected for the semi-finalist round.
- All semi-finalists candidates will be contacted to let them know whether they were or were not selected for the program.
- The Levis Leadership scholarship funding will be loaded onto the financial aid account of all students who accept to join the program by August 1.
- The newly selected cohort will meet virtually during the summer (June or July) to discuss the program more in-depth.
- Students who accept the Levis Leadership scholarship are required to do the following:
- Register for and attend a mandatory Student Leadership Development class each semester (COUN 3380 in Fall and COUN 3390 in Spring) during the first year of the program.
