Graduate-Professional Student Appreciation Week

Graduate-Professional Student Appreciation Week is an an initiative founded by three members of the National Association of Graduate-Professional Students. Every first week of April, we celebrate our graduate students with a lineup of programming!

Grad Cafe is our regular coffee and tea station pop-up during which we bring a campus resource to talk to you about their services and all the ways they can support you in your graduate student journey!

Three Minute Thesis Competition

The Three Minute Thesis (3MT®) is an academic competition that challenges graduate students to effectively explain their research in three minutes or less to an audience of specialists and non-specialists alike.

Responsible Conduct of Research Training

The University of Toledo requires all faculty, staff and student researchers to complete RCR training as required by their program sponsors. UToledo offers online RCR training through CITI Programs. We offer a live, in-person training to students required by their colleges.

Each fall semester, we team up with the Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning to welcome our new graduate teaching assistants and prepare them for their new roles!

Mental Health First Aid Training

Graduate instructors and student organizations, we offer free Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) Training to graduate students! This is an opportunity to learn strategies and best practices in supporting someone experiencing a mental health challenge while gaining certification in Mental Health First Aid.
