The University of Toledo offers a variety of academic support to our students.

Academic Calendar
The Academic Calendar lets the UToledo community know what is going on during the academic year on campus,
for example, start dates of fall and spring semester, final exam schedules, holidays
and breaks. It can be also be found online here.
TUTORING SERVICES
Tutoring at the Learning Enhancement Center
The Learning Enhancement Center provides academic assistance to all University of Toledo students. Services include
free tutoring in subjects such as science, math, business, foreign language and study
strategies; Supplemental Instruction - which is peer-led study sessions for targeted
courses; and workshops. Now offers online tutoring, easy access from your home or
residence hall.
The Writing Center
The Writing Center works with current UToledo undergraduate and graduate students, faculty and staff
on a variety of writing projects in any subject. Experienced, polished writers read,
review, and respond to papers to assist student writers individually at any stage
of academic or personal writing. Students may meet with Writing Center tutors in order
to generate ideas, organize notes and thoughts, and receive feedback on drafts or
completed papers. Types of documents that are often brought to the Writing Center
include essays and research papers, creative writing, thesis and dissertations, grant
proposals, professional publications and scholarship/job applications.
TRIO Student Support Services
TRIO-Student Support Services goal provides an environment that encourages excellence, supports success and fosters
involvement. Services include orientation and study-skills courses, multicultural
social events, individual academic advising, tutoring, and career and social adjustment
counseling, as well as helping students to utilize existing university services. Eligibility
is based one of three areas: First-Generation Eligible, Disability Eligible or Low
Income Eligible.
Student Athlete Academic Services
Student Athlete Academic Service staff provides a variety of services to assist all student-athletes with their academic
progress. Services include guidance with course scheduling, targeting (a time management
program), study table, individualized and group tutoring, and academic and career
counseling.
Academic Enrichment Center (HSC students only)
Academic Enrichment Center is (for Health Science students only) provides resources and assistance for students
to enhance their academic performance, such as: study plans for course clerkships,
and licensure exams; learning style assessment and study techniques recommendations;
test-taking strategies and overcoming test anxiety; time management; and tutoring
and supplemental instruction for select courses.

Libraries
The University Libraries serve students, faculty, and staff on every campus, connecting them with the resources
needed for education and research.
Office of Accessibility and Disability Resources
Office of Accessibility and Disability Resources provides academic accommodations to students with disabilities. The first step to
becoming registered with their office is to submit disability documentation to their
office.
Office of Student Advocacy and Support
Office of Student Advocacy and Support is a resource for students' questions, concerns and problems. Students should contact
this office if they have a concern and are not sure how to resolve it, want to discuss
a sensitive issue in confidence, have a complaint about an office or service at UT,
feel that a policy or procedure has been applied to you unfairly or have suggestions
for improving UT policies and procedures. The director investigates the nature of
complaints confidentially and impartially in order to achieve equitable settlements,
connecting students to the appropriate party for issue resolution.
Office of International Student and Scholar Services
Office of International Student and Scholar Services provides assistance and services to international students at The University of Toledo,
helping students transition to life at UT and in the United States, serving as a resource
regarding orientation, visa requirements, on-campus and off-campus housing, banking,
and international student health insurance.
Testing Services
The University of Toledo has many testing services for the convenience of its students and the community. The Test Centers provides
the following testing services: make-up testing, placement testing, CLEP testing,
ACT Testing, ETS Testing, Pearson VUE Testing, Certification & Licensure Tests, Internet
Based Testing, distance learning testing proctoring, skills assessment testing and
other.

Rocket Solution Central is the place to go. They provide answers regarding Financial Aid, Registration, Student
Accounts and Student Records. Through this site and the myUT Portal your child can manage many of the services they provide in their office.
EXPERIENTIAL LEARNING OPPORTUNITIES
The following programs bring new experiences to our student's academic career, enhancing their academic journey.
Rocket Career Center
Rocket Career Center offers resources and strategies for choosing a college major, developing career plans, preparing for a job search and interview, finding on– and off-campus part-time jobs, and identifying internships and full-time career positions. Student Employment: Serves as the headquarters for all student employment processes.
Jesup Scott Honors College
The University of Toledo Jesup Scott Honors College is designed specifically to meet the needs of highly motivated and academically talented
students. Members of UT's Honors Program, enjoy a challenging and nurturing environment
conducive to intellectual growth and discovery.
Education Abroad
The Office of Education Abroad collaborates with the many departments and colleges at The University in creating
and administering study-abroad opportunities for undergraduate and graduate students.
Activities range from short-term summer or faculty-led, inter-term study programs
to semester- or year-long (exchange) programs in a host of countries. The Office
of Education Abroad is part of UT's Center for International Studies and Programs.
Undergraduate Research
The Office of Undergraduate Research is a focal point for research opportunities for undergraduate students. This office
can assist you with finding funding opportunities for student research.
MENTORING PROGRAMS
The Women in STEMM Excelling (WISE) Mentor Program
WISE is a mentor program for women interested in pursuing undergraduate degrees in any
of the Science, Technology, Engineering, Math or Medicine (STEMM) areas of study.
WISE will link women science students with mentors, academic support, and a peer community
during their first year of study. Our goal is to ensure that all women students interested
in a STEMM degree will receive the necessary support and encouragement to have a successful
career at UT and beyond.
