Electrical Engineering and Computer Science

Graduate Admission Guidelines

In addition, admission to the Ph.D. program requires completion of a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science or a related area, or a Bachelor's degree with a 3.3/4.0 GPA or better from an accredited engineering program. Applicants with Bachelor's degrees seeking direct admission to the doctoral program must have demonstrated high academic performance and an ability to pursue research during their undergraduate program.

Admission and financial support are separate matters. Graduate assistantships for International students are extremely limited. Students admitted to the EECS Graduate Program are automatically considered for financial support in the form of tuition scholarships/graduate assistantships. There is no need to apply separately.
