Des Imagistes (1914)

PR1225 .D4 1914a

The first anthology of Imagist writing, this book contains poems by Richard Aldington, H. D., F. S. Flint, Amy Lowell, William Carlos Williams and Ezra Pound. In his book of memoirs, Aldington said of the foreign title:

“What Ezra thought that meant remains a mystery, unless the word "Anthologie" was assumed to precede it…

But why a French title for a collection of poems by a bunch of young American and English authors? Search me. Ezra liked foreign titles."
