Contracts and Vendors

Process

Only UToledo’s legal office personnel may review and negotiate contracts on behalf of the University. Only the proper University signatory may sign contracts on behalf of the University. Students do not have the authority to negotiate agreements, make promises, sign contracts or obligate the University in any way. 

Contracts are required for most:

  • Performers
  • Speakers
  • Rentals (inflatables, games, etc.)

Students organizing the event must complete a Contract Request Form at least 10 weeks prior to the event.

Reminder: All vendors need to provide a proof of vendors license and Certificate of Insurance with the University of Toledo and your student organization listed as additional insured for a minimum $1,000,000.

If a vendor is going through the UToledo contract process, these will be collected by UToledo staff. If your vendor does not require a contract, you must provide these to the Office of Student Involvement & Leadership (getinvolved@utoledo.edu) prior to your event.
