Title IX Contact Language for Faculty and Staff

New Title IX regulations governing how federally funded schools address incidents of sexual harassment among students, faculty and staff took effect Aug. 14, 2020. Among the new regulations is a requirement that universities “must prominently display the contact information required to be listed for the Title IX Coordinator on its website, if any, and in each handbook or catalog that it makes available to applicants for admission and employment, students, parents or legal guardians of elementary and secondary school students, employees, and all unions or professional organizations holding collective bargaining or professional agreements with the recipient, pursuant to § 106.8(c).”

The Title IX Office is working with our campus partners to include information in key materials. The University also added a new Notice of Nondiscrimination to the footer of the utoledo.edu website that includes contact information for Title IX, as well as other nondiscrimination resources.

To assist with complying with the new regulations, we have drafted some language that can be included in your materials to direct the campus community to our Title IX Office.
