The Blue and Gold Scholar Award - a UT Guarantee Program

The Blue and Gold Scholar Award is a four-year, renewable scholarship that covers the total cost of tuition and general fees, after state and federal aid and other UT scholarship monies are applied. It is open to seniors attending a high school in the the state of Ohio or Monroe County, Michigan.

Goals of the Blue and Gold Scholar Award

• Reinforce the concept that college is a reality, not a dream, and remove some of the financial barriers to a college degree.
• Help parents, students, and school officials to create a learning environment to prepare students for the rigors of college.
• Improve high school persistence and graduation rates

The Blue and Gold Scholar Award is available to students who:

• Are seniors attending a high school in the state of Ohio or Monroe County, Michigan.
• Apply and are accepted to The University of Toledo, which involves meeting core curriculum requirements.
• Submit an ACT or SAT test score to UT.
• Have at least a 3.0 high school cumulative GPA.
• File a FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) and show Pell Grant eligibility.
