A team of UT MBA students recently competed in the KeyBank Minority Case Competition and fared extremely well. The team consisted of Uyi Eguasa, Gaurav Mehta, and Jonathan Johnson. 21 schools took part in the competition, and in the preliminary round, teams were divided into 4 groups, with UT's group having the highest number of participants (6 teams). UT won its group, besting Ohio State, Rice University, SUNY-Buffalo, University of Texas-Dallas, and Yale University. Only the winning team from each round advanced to the final.
We topped our group and advanced to the final, against Carnegie Mellon University, Indiana University, and University of Washington. In the final, UT placed 3rd overall, behind University of Washington (winners); and Indiana University-Bloomington (2nd). Carnegie Mellon placed 4th. Uyi Eguasa also won the award for best Q&A in the Round 1 group.
We're proud of the team's accomplishments and for showcasing the quality of UT's graduate programs against the best in the country.
