Personal info: I am married to a wonderfully patient woman, with two grown daughters still living close to home. I always cherish time with each of them. Rachel Carson was a big influence in my like. While in Graduate School (Marine Science),I started working in the field of Environmental Science, and have continued working in the field in a variety of positions. Throughout my career as a scientist and businessman, I have been affiliated with environmental work across the U.S. I firmly believe that we have duty to reduce all environmental burdens for future generations. In 1985, I started a business in Michigan which grew into 3 offices with over 30 staff members. Since 1996, I have instructed both online and in-class at the College/University level in the fields of Business, Math, and Science.
Research interests: Life Cycle Analysis and Management, Sustainability, Green Business Applications, Consumer Environmental Behavior.
Plans after PhD: University tenure track faculty, working directly with local businesses in management, marketing, profitability, and pursuit of sustainability achievement to enhance company longevity and social responsibility within the community.
