Personal & Professional Development Classes
All classes are free to UT students. Scholarships are available on a limited basis. Call 419.530.8570 for more information or to register. Pre-registration is required because space is limited. Full payment is expected on or before the first day of class. Check in for all classes at Tucker Hall, Room 0168.
Women’s Success Series (attend morning or evening sessions)
Mondays, Sept. 29 – Dec. 8 • 9:30 – 11:30 a.m. or 5:30 – 7:30 p.m.
Delivered in workshop format, register for the entire series or individual workshops. Women only. Fee: None.
Nine weekly sessions and a graduation ceremony. The Women’s Success Series is designed to guide women on the journey of personal and professional development. Each week, women will be engaging in topics to help them identify career paths, determine educational next-steps, navigate proactively in today’s economy, and prepare themselves for a successful future. Four weekly sessions. Have you ever thought of starting your own business but you are not sure where to begin? Participants will look at the key considerations associated with entrepreneurship and the main components of a business plan. Fee: $10
Self-Defense For Women
Wednesdays, Oct. 22 – Nov. 12 • 5:30 – 8:30 p.m.
Four weekly sessions. UT Police Officer Jill Goldberg facilitates this hands-on self-defense class specifically designed for women. Attendees will learn to become more aware of their surroundings and techniques of defending themselves against an attacker. Wear comfortable athletic clothing and shoes. Attendees will be required to sign an informed risk waiver as the class begins. Fee: None
