Pre-registration is required. Full payment is expected the first day of class. All classes are free to UT students. Scholarships are available on a limited basis. Women’s Success Series (offered two times this semester)
Mondays, Sept. 16 – Nov. 18•11 a.m. – 1 p.m. or 6 – 8 p.m.
Graduation Ceremony; Monday, Nov. 25 at 6 p.m.
Nine weekly sessions and a graduation ceremony. The Women’s Success Series is designed
to guide women on the journey of personal and professional development. Each week,
women will be engaging in topics to help them identify career paths, determine educational
next-steps, navigate proactively in today’s economy, and prepare themselves for a
successful future. No class on Nov. 11. Fee: None
Entrepreneurship U
Wednesdays, Sept. 4 – Oct. 2•5:30 – 7 p.m.
Five weekly sessions. Have you ever thought of starting your own business but are
not sure where to begin? This introductory level view of business creation provides
participants with a look at key considerations associated with the career choice of
entrepreneurship and the main components of a business plan. Fee: $10
Presenting… YOU!
Wednesdays, Oct. 23 – Nov. 20•5:30 – 7 p.m.
Five weekly sessions, for women only. This class is designed to help women recognize
and ignite their own personal style and presence. Students will learn about and practice
effective communication in public speaking, networking, leading teams, interviews,
conflict management and in everyday life. Fee: $10
Self Defense For Women
Wednesdays & Thursdays, Oct. 9 &10, 16 & 17•5:30 – 8:30 p.m.
UT Police Officer, Jill Goldberg facilitates this 12-hour, hands-on self-defense class
specifically designed for women. Participants will learn to become more aware of their
surroundings and techniques of defending oneself against an attacker. Wear comfortable
athletic clothing and shoes. Pre-registration is required for participation. Participants
will be required to sign an informed risk waiver as the class begins. Fee: None
