The UT Department of Music offers areas of study in general music, music performance, music history and music theory. Faculty in the Music Department work in cooperation with the College of Education to provide a field of study in Music Education. The Music Department also contributes an important element to a well-rounded liberal arts program by offering classes like Music Appreciation and Jazz History every semester.
