Casting for Spring productions of Sophocles's King Oedipus  (translation by W.B. Yeats)
and Sarah Ruhl's In the Next Room

Sign up sheets will be posted on the Call Board (located near the new Green Room PA101044) in the UT Center for Performing Arts two weeks before auditions.  Sign up for a 10 minute slot. Call the Department of Theatre & Film Office for more information 419-530-2202.

Audition Preparation

• You should have a brief monologue prepared.
• You should be familiar with, and prepared to read from the scripts for the shows.  Scripts are available for checkout in PA1030, and should be available in most public libraries as well as the UT library.
• Expect to be asked to do movement exercises, and to respond to coaching on your monologue and/or reading.

PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING:

Students must maintain a 2.0 GPA or above to be cast in a department production.

Rehearsals for A Midsummer Night's Dream will begin in September.

Rehearsal schedule for King Oedipus begins early December.

Students cast in King Oedipus are encouraged to take THR 3800:001 for 3 credits in Spring 2012.

Rehearsals for In the Next Room will begin in early February.

Students cast in In the Next Room  are encouraged to take THR 3800:002 for 3 credits in Spring 2012.
