Urban Studies

Suggested Curriculum*
All students must complete The University of Toledo Core Curriculum and satisfy the requirements of the College of Arts and Sciences in English, mathematics, foreign language, humanities, natural sciences, social sciences and writing across the curriculum. Arts and science students are required to take a minimum of 124 semester hours. A minimum of 64 hours must be taken at the 2000-4000 level and 32 hours at the 3000-4000 level. Students must maintain a 2.0 or "C" average.
Urban Studies Degree
The urban studies degree requires a total of 48 hours in urban studies and related courses, divided into four areas: 18 hours in urban studies core courses, 3 hours in statistics, 9 hours in the urban studies sub-field and 18 hours in courses related to urban studies. These hours are summarized below:
1.Core Courses (18 hours):
ECON 1150 Macroeconomics
ECON 3600 Urban Economics
PSC 2300 State and Local Government
PSC 3310 Municipal Politics
SOC 2410 Communities
2.Statistics (3 hours):
ECON 2640, PSC 3110, or SOC 3290
