Joshua R. Beekman, Student Trustee (2013)

Josh Beekman was appointed to The University of Toledo Board of Trustees in 2011.  As a student trustee, he serves as a member of the Academic and Student Affairs Committee.

Mr. Beekman is pursuing a degree in Psychology with a minor in Business Administration and a concentration in Pre-Medicine.  As a freshman, he served as President of the Academic House Hall Council, was involved in Levis Leadership UT and Student Government.  In his second year at UT he became Director for the Student Government BIG Event, the National Communications Coordinator for the Resident Student Association and Vice President of Finance for the Interfraternity Council.  He currently serves as President of the Resident Student Association, Treasurer for Blue Key National Honor Society, is a Brother of Sigma Phi Epsilon Fraternity and is a second term President of the Interfraternity Council.

Goals for Mr. Beekman include completing his degree and moving on to graduate school to complete his MD and MBA.  He hopes to work as a hospital administrator one day or as a consultant.  He is from Castalia, Ohio.
