Pharmacy Health Care Administration

Mission of PHCA

1. Develop a basic understanding of various areas in pharmacy health care administration, including management, marketing, finance, behavioral communications, policy and pharmaceutical economics.
2. Apply knowledge from these functional areas to a contemporary public or private work environment.
3. Offer the opportunity to apply this knowledge within generalized or specific work settings.

Our graduate program has been successful in providing students with a wide variety of career options.  The Pharmacy Health Care Administration division is open to inter- and intra-departmental, institutional, industrial and personal collaborations in research that will expand the knowledge within science and foster cooperation between institutions.

Pharmaceutical Care and Outcomes Research Laboratory (PCOR)

PCOR works with pharmacists and health care practitioners to develop and execute disease management programs throughout the country.  The faculty specialize in practice-based research networks (PBRNs) that help to improve patients' quality of life and prevent the exacerbation of diseases like diabetes, hypertension and hyperlipidemia.
