Master of Business Administration – Health Systems Management (specialization)
The MBA with a specialization in Healthcare Management is designed to prepare graduates with knowledge in both healthcare delivery and business. As a result, it is best suited for applicants who possess education and/or experience in at least one of these areas. Applicants who have education and/or experience in neither area may still earn the degree, but would require more course work than typical for the MBA. Learners complete AACSB accredited graduate level Business courses in Information Technology and E-Business, Supply Chain Management, Accounting for Decision Making, Financial Systems, Strategic Marketing and Analysis, Results-Based Management, International Business, and Strategic Management. Learners achieve the specialization by completing four Public Health courses in one of three concentrations: 1) Public Health Administration, 2) Health Promotion and Education, or 3) Public Health Epidemiology. The MBA is Health Systems Management curriculum includes the following.

- BUAD 6500 International Business
- BUAD 6600 Supply Chain Management
- BUAD 6800 Information Technology and E-Business
- BUAD 6900 Strategic Management Capstone
Plus the following electives to complete the MBA specialization.
- MBA in Health Care System Management with Public Health Administration concentration.
The following four courses are required for this concentration. All courses are 3
credit hours.

credit hours. PUBH 601 is required for the concentration and three of the remaining
courses are required.
