Special Assistance For Adult Students
University College
Through UT's University College, adult students may pursue a number of special programs designed with their diverse interests in mind. Many of these programs are particularly useful to students who have an associate degree and seek a 2 + 2 baccalaureate program.
Center for Women
The University of Toledo's Catharine S. Eberly Center for Women is designed to aid individuals in making career or educational decisions. The center hosts various workshops, support groups and seminars.
Project Succeed is one of many programs devised to assist women in transition, women who have experienced a change in marital status. To qualify, a participant must be an Ohio resident who is at least 27 years of age, primarily a homemaker, and either separated, divorced, widowed or with a spouse possessing a disability. Participants have the opportunity to take advantage of scholarships, support groups, and career development workshops.
Career Development
The process of assessing your strengths, clarifying goals, looking over your options, and planning your direction is aided by our helpful Career Development staff. In addition to one-on-one help, there are counseling groups and computer systems that help pinpoint your interests through a series of exercises. A program of job shadowing is another career exploration opportunity. Help with resume development and job interview skills is also offered.
Admission
The University of Toledo has an open admission policy. Some programs of study, however, have specific requirements for admission, and applicants must be academically prepared in order to be directly admitted into these programs. The University will advise students regarding their admission options.

A placement test in the basic areas will assess the student's academic experiences and place the student in the appropriate class.
Students that have transfer credit will be assessed through our records office for evaluation of credit. Applications to The University of Toledo are accepted throughout the year and decisions are made continuously.
