Undergraduate Summer Research Fellowships
The Office of Undergraduate Research coordinates the undergraduate summer research fellowships (USR&CAP); the guidelines are available here.
The OUR-UT office also is interested in providing some support to students wishing to conduct research at the foreign university; they will support the purchase of supplies and travel expenses to a nearby research center, museum, etc. Students should register for research/independent study under the guidance of a faculty mentor (either at UT or abroad) and submit a proposal of approximately three pages to the office (undergradresearch@utoledo.edu). The proposals will be reviewed on a continuous basis, with no established deadline. A letter of support from the faculty mentor should accompany the proposal. After the research is completed, the student needs to submit a final report to my office and present a talk to the student’s department or in the Honors Bag Lunch. These requirements are similar to those of the USR&CAP program.
