Selection criteria
- Primary, high school and community college teachers who are strongly committed to international education and whose classes demonstrate international content. ( Among these, highest preference will be given to social studies teachers at the higher primary and secondary school level.)
- School administrators, media experts and teachers who are internationalizing school programs.
- Graduate students who are committed to teaching careers in international affairs fields and whose degree programs demonstrate strong international content.
- Teachers at all levels who need experience abroad to provide first hand exposure to non-western cultures, environments and social settings and whose careers reflect a strong international commitment.
- Under terms of the grant from the U.S. Department of Education, all applicants must be U.S. citizens or permanent residents
- Applicants must be full-time employees or full-time students.
