2008 Lake Erie Center Art Contest

The Lake Erie Center is currently soliciting art for our 2008 contest themed "Nature on Maumee Bay". Artists of all ages, backgrounds, and skill levels are encouraged to submit a piece of 2D or 3D art that fits the contest theme. The deadline for submittal is July 15th. The pieces chosen for exhibition will be put on display in the Lake Erie Center lobby for visitors to enjoy for a period of 2 months. - Pencil or ink drawing

- 3D (no larger than 2ft. in any one direction)

Please note that photography is not part of this contest.
- Youth (under 12)
- Teen (13-18)
- Adult (18+)
- Fill out the above entry form and submit your art by digital photograph(s) before July 15th, 2008.
- Email your photograph(s) and official entry form to jgrabar2@utnet.utoledo.edu. The entry form can be found here and should be attached to the email.
| What to expect after submission: |
- Two pieces will be selected in each category and age group for display at the LEC.
- The pieces will be unveiled during our August dinner and evening talk.
- The Lake Erie Center receives numerous visitors during the summer months from conferences, workshops, meetings, evening talks, and Maumee Bay State Park. Your work will be viewed by a number of visitors from a variety of backgrounds.
- The selected art will be featured on our website, which receives up to 10,000 hits monthly.
- The winners will receive a free FOLEC (Friends of the Lake Erie Center) membership and LEC gift basket.
