Sign up sheets will be posted on the Theatre and Film callboard in the makeup lab two weeks before auditions. Sign up for a 10 minute slot.
You should have a brief monologue prepared.
You should be familiar with, and prepared to read from the scripts for the shows. Scripts are available for checkout in PA 1002, and should be available in most public libraries as well as the UT library.
Expect to be asked to do movement exercises, and to respond to coaching on your monologue and/or reading. |

PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING: |

Students must maintain a 2.0 GPA or above to be cast in a department production.
Rehearsals for The Doctor in Spite of Himself will begin August 31st.
Students cast in Doctor are encouraged to take THR 3800:001 for 3 credits in Fall 2009.
Rehearsals for Machinal will begin in mid September.
Students cast in Machinal are encouraged to take THR 3800:002 for 3 credits in Fall 2009.
Rehearsals for Soprano/Lesson will begin immediately at the start of Spring semester, and the cast will be expected to have line memorization already under way upon returning from semester break.
Students cast in Soprano/Lesson are encouraged to take THR 3800:001 for 3 credits in Spring 2010
Rehearsals for Creation/Doomsday will begin in early February.
Students cast in Creation/Doomsday are encouraged to take THR 38800:002 for 3 credits in Spring 2010, but only if they are not enrolled in the related Honors seminar for the course. (See Professor Lingan for more information on this course.) |
