The workforce is changing dramatically. These changes are having a profound effect on human resource management in today’s organization. The “old methods” of directing a heterogeneous workforce simply won't work. The Diversity Management Certificate presents new ways to manage and gain a competitive edge!
The Diversity Management Certificate provides participants with the necessary skills to understand and manage diversity in the workplace as it relates to Cultural Knowledge; Cultural Sensitivity; Cultural Communications; Hiring, Training, and Promotion Tactics; Equal Employment Opportunity; and Inclusivity. Participants learn how to create a bias-free workplace, develop diversity training for all types of organizations, as well as learn to set up mentorship programs and diversity councils.
All courses for this certificate can be taken either on-campus or via the Internet.
Upon completion of the Diversity Certificate, students will receive a departmentally issued certificate. Students may also choose to apply the completed courses toward an associate degree.
