Doctoral Program Vision and Mission
The vision of the Ph.D. Program is to become a program of choice for highly qualified students seeking an advanced research degree in Manufacturing and Technology Management.


The program views innovation as the foundation for organizational performance. Innovation, entrepreneurship, and technology-based commericalization must be blended to provide "competitive advantage" through product design and development, operational excellence, information systems improvement, supply chain management, technology development and management, and knowledge creation and diffusion.
The program aims to educate scholars to meet traditional and emerging standards of excellence in and contribute to manufacturing and technology management field through research, teaching, and seminal publications in academic and professional journals and monographs. The graduates of the program are expected to pursue careers in university teaching, research, industry or consulting.
