The CD-ROM has been jointly developed by the Center for Creative Instruction and Office of Multicultural Affairs at the University of Toledo. It utilizes UT faculty and selected consultants as content experts as well as focused interviews of breast cancer patients. The health care provider, after completing the objectives, should have increased knowledge and enhanced skills related to clinical and cultural competency. Furthermore it is expected that the provider will have a greater appreciation and capacity for the power of empathy in the therapeutic relationship.
