Homecoming is The University of Toledo's longest standing tradition and is cherished
by Rockets of the past, present, and future.
The College of Visual and Performing Arts went "green" in 2012 with the Dean and
Associate Dean riding bicycles and our outstanding alum, Dr. Kevin Hatch and his faculty sponsor, Dr. Richard Putney riding in pedicabs.
The pedicabs are owned and operated by Maxwell Austin of Glass City Pedicabs. Maxwell was awarded the inaugural Toledo SOUP grant at a community dinner on March 4, 2012. Glass City Pedicabs is a bicycle taxi company that provides transportation to the Downtown, Uptown and Warehouse District neighborhoods for games, bars, lunch hours and more. The three-wheeled bikes are non-motorized. For more information, visit facebook.com/GlassCityPedicabs.
The College is proud to support his micro-financed company and the effort to "go green".

UT Marching Band performs at the Homecoming halftime, under the direction of Dr. Jason Stumbo.

Weaving their way through the streets in the Old Orchard neighborhood, the CVPA Homecoming
collective enjoys a beautiful day and many laughs along the way as they throw blue
and gold beads to the parade-goers.
