To achieve this, we strive to provide each staff member with clear performance objectives, ongoing coaching and feedback, professional development, and recognition for outstanding work. The responsibility of building a successful performance culture lies with you. Utilizing the tools provided by Human Resources and Talent Development is critical to engaging the workforce, achieving your department’s objectives and building a culture of accountability.

“Core Responsibilities” are weighted at 50% with “Customer Service Excellence” at 20% and the remaining pillars of “Nimble and Responsive,” “Professionalism and Respect,” and “Communication Effectiveness” at 10% each. Please include the core duties you outline in your regular performance evaluation under the core pillar listed as “Core Responsibilities.”

These supplemental forms should be used as needed:

Tools for CWA Staff Members: Above are the various tools to be used at the present time for all CWA employees. There is NO change in format. Per the collective bargaining agreement (Article 32.3), “Evaluations will be given to bargaining unit members at least at the mid-point and at the end of their probationary periods. Bargaining Unit employees will be evaluated each year within forty five days following their anniversary date (end of probation) and the evaluation shall be signed by the employee to show receipt. If the evaluations are not completed by the due date, they will be considered null and void and not placed in the employee’s file. Timelines may be extended by mutual agreement between the Union and Management.” Due dates for performance evaluations for CWA employees may be accessed via the web report library (instructions below).

To Access the Web Report Library: Go to My UT, sign in, go to the employee tab, and scroll down to the bottom of the page to “Web Report Library.” Click that link, click on the green “Production URL” button, on the left-hand side, click on the “+” by “Public Folders,” click the “+” next to “Human Resources,” then double click on “General Inquiry.” The report is titled “CWA Annual Review and Longevity.” Double click on the report and add your parameters.
